Graphite on paper work where the artist describes an urban landscape in Alcalá Street (Madrid). In this atmospheric drawing the vertical lines of the lampposts lead to other elements such as buildings, cars, trees or traffic lights blurring in the distance.
This work was drawn from the Hotel Central’s balcony in 4 Alcalá Street.
The signature is on the lower left corner and says “A. López Torres. Alcalá Street. Madrid. December. 1970”.
Donated by Antonio López Torres in a public deed, 14.10.83.
