year 1946
Oil/Panel
15,5 x 14,5 cm
Small panel where the painter depicts another daily scene integrating the figures into the landscape perfectly. This time the main characters are two boys: one standing on the left with his back to the spectator, while the other one is tying a bundle of firewood. The landscape surrounding them combines the loose brushstrokes in earth tones with bright yellowish greens, which become violet tones in the distance. Behind the boys, there is a cart completing this bright scene.
The painting is signed on the lower right corner as “A. López Torres, 1946”.
Donated by Antonio López Torres in a public deed, 14.10.83.
