Still life painted during Cecilio Pla y Gallardo lessons while he was studying in the School of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid.

In the middle of this vertical composition there is a cooper vessel surrounded by two plaster masks. In the background there are some undetailed light clothes while the ones in the foreground are more detailed.

This work means an increase of quality when using colours. The overall harmony is subtle and the details, such as the cooper vessel tones, are rich and precise. It is also important to mention the difficult perspective of the right mask represented by the artist with great skills.

The painting is not signed.
