Vertical composition where the artist represents a well in a threshing floor. This is a work full of light representing the midday light, as deduced from the short shadows of the well and the stones.

Behind the well, it is observed a field with poppies, cultivated lands and some houses.

This topic was painted two years before in his work Boy drinking water from a bucket, but the boy has disappeared in this version.

The signature is on the lower left part and says “A. López Torrres, 1948”.
