Example of an oil painting from the artist’s most poetic period. The landscape is again created by overlapping horizontal bands decreasing in size as they come closer to the horizon. The range of earth tones in the foreground becomes violets in the distance to capture the atmosphere of the place. The outlines are blurred and the painter is not interested in representing the peculiarity of the elements, but the general scene.
