Oil/Panel
18 x 17,5 cm
Small square panel where the painter represents a landscape of La Mancha in autumn using horizontal bands to demarcate the different fields where the earth and reddish tones predominate. The brushstroke vibrates in different directions simulating the texture of the land, which seems to be undefined, but the general picture is completed in the spectator’s view. In the distance there is a house with some trees and the landscape is represented with a range of cold tones in the background.
During these years the artist is involved in painting this type of landscapes where he focuses on its most lyrical and suggestive aspects.
The painting is not signed.
Donated by Antonio López Torres in a public deed, 14.10.83.
