Small panel where the artist offers his view of a sunset from a hill in El Buen Retiro. It can be observed how the elements are increasingly anonymous and the artist is focused on the general idea of the landscape, on the most important and poetic part of the picture. In the foreground there are masses of green colour painted by using a loose brushstroke becoming greyish in the background. The blue horizon contrasts with the bright reddish sky, which seems to spread its warmth and its orange tones to the rest of the composition.

The painting is not signed.
